Final task Opening Sequence - Fifth Draft
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQQCnYEjgxM
Above is the our fifth draft of the opening title credit sequence. Here we had a new title at the end which was created much more by us; Timon in particular. This is also the first time we had our ident on video - 'Red Light Productions'. We felt this brings a completely new element to the video, connoting danger and perhaps bloodshed - two key elements to our film.

Final task Opening Sequence - Fourth Draft
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FPFyUW1Sqk
Above is the link to the fourth draft of our final piece. Again, there were changes to this one. Most notably, the first song was changed from 'Street Lights' by Kanye West, to 'Stay Positive' by The Streets. We felt that the new song gave the video an entirely different feel to it; it was much more urban and dark instead of a slightly joyous hint to it.
There was also a play around with the sequence of the shots. A close up shot of our actor running was moved to the start of the video as we felt it may give the sequence a more gripping opening.
The entry of the music was changed again to be faded in as our actor put his earphones in to make it diegetic. However, for this one we temporarily suspended the title credits as we were intent on changing them anyway so we took them off to create a new base layer for our most next draft.

Final task Opening Sequence - Third Draft

Above is the third draft of our final task. This draft was the first time we attempted to add title credits to our piece. We had them in white in Times New Roman font and had them coming onto the screen in a variety of different styles. Some slide in from either side, others fade in and out, and some just appear on one part of the screen.

Final task Opening Sequence - Second Draft

Above is the second draft of our final piece. As will be noticed here, not a huge amount changed between the first and second draft. The key difference was the entry of the first score of music. In the second draft we had the song playing right from the beginning of the piece, instead of coming in gradually as our actor put headphones in his ears to create a diegetic feel to the soundtrack.

Formal Feedback Session with Media Class (Draft 3)
This was the 3rd draft of our final task of creating an opening title sequence for a film. The students of the class all watched the film and then gave both positive aspects of our film and constructive criticisms to improve on.
